The number one mistake people make when establishing their Internet presence stems from the erroneous belief that, once their great-looking website is up and running on the World Wide Web, hordes of visitors will flock to see it - and buy their products and services.

    This you generally do yourself by putting your website address EVERYWHERE; on letterhead, business cards, flyers, giveaway pens, yellow pages, shaved onto your teenager's head (well, maybe that's going overboard), anywhere you can think of.  Also, word of mouth can be extremely helpful, so for goodness sake, tell people about your website - don't keep it a secret.
     
  2. Traffic generated ONLINE (on the Internet)
    If you have lots of time, don't mind the extensive learning curve, and are willing to stay on top of the numerous changes occurring almost weekly in the field of Internet Marketing, you can do this yourself.  If not, you're going to need some competent help.
